Losing the school report âaccidentally on purposeâ will soon no longer be an option for students as the Government is proposing to send the often-dreaded documentation by email.
Schools Minister Jim Knight said that the wants to give parents access to "frequently-updated information on children's achievement, progress, attendance, behaviour and special needs wherever, whenever they want, using password-protected, secure, online systems".
He also said the use of computers and mobile phones would help build links with "hard to reach" parents and âdeepen the school-parent relationsâ.
The Professional Association of Teachers has however expressed concern about âBig Brother-style monitoring of everything a child does at school".
