Yes it can (to a degree)

Well I suppose that goverment action could reduce cyber bullying - they could ban computers at schools, pass laws that meant the disclose of an online identity was a crime, use already existing powers to track bullying posters via ISPs and prosecute them - after all the evidence is easy to record.

However, I think most would agree that this cure would be worse than the disease. Bullying is a bit of a natuarl human tendency; so the only way you can combat it is through increasing people's awareness of when they might be doing it and the damage that they may be doing. In other words it's about education!

On a more practical note cyberbullying is the one occasion when the "just stay away from them dear" adivce might actually work - if the webmaster of the website where the bullying is taking place won't do anything about it; you need to visit different websites.

The Power of 6

At present, 09/10/07, six votes in a poll have given a 100% negative verdict. Great indictment for statistics and polls.
100% of those I asked really prefered cheese and onion crisps. (I asked the guy eating cheese and onion crisps)

The Power of 7

Ten days later, the power of 6 to produce a 100% negative poll vote has ben increased by 1.
Why is this site so underused?
The area of Gifted and Talented is an exciting, innovative one in the realm of education but fails to stimulate interest
Why the apathy?
Is it mistrust, misinformation, fear?????
How do we get G and T to the top pof the agenda and stimulate the discussions necessary?

power of 8

The poll is still going well on 8 votes (this is now 30/10/07). At least it's increasing. And still 100%.
