Providing Choice: Tic tac toe

If I can attach this resouce - it is an outline for providing students with choice in how they handle the contect of a topic or lesson. It's really versatile and can be used in most subject areas. (Have now attached resource - its also in the Biology resources area!)

This is a biology example - Digestion. Students have to choose which "tic tac toe" line (noughts and crosses to the digital UK natives...) they are going to use. You put in the centre the work you want all students to undertake - they tend to do it much faster as they want to get onto the bits they've chosen!

Teachers report that they are frequently surprised at how quickly lots of students get (what used to be) the minimum done.....
